What is the Advanced Electronic Signature?
The Advanced Electronic Signature (AdES) is defined under the eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 as a signature that is uniquely linked to the signatory, capable of identifying them, created using means the signatory can keep under their sole control, and linked to the signed data so that any subsequent change is detectable.
How it works with Quantidia
Quantidia verifies the signatory’s identity through methods such as one-time codes, email or SMS verification, or a personal digital certificate. The signature is then cryptographically bound to the document, sealing it against tampering and generating strong, verifiable evidence of authorship and integrity.
When to use it
- Employment contracts and HR documentation
- Commercial agreements with legal or financial impact
- Banking and insurance onboarding
- Any transaction that requires strong proof of who signed and that the document was not altered
Key benefits
- Strong identity assurance without requiring a qualified certificate
- Tamper-evident documents backed by cryptographic sealing
- Full compliance with eIDAS and equivalent international frameworks
- Detailed, court-admissible audit trail for every signature
